Lance Cottrell founded Anonymizer in 1995, and is an internationally recognized expert in cryptography, online privacy, and Internet security. He is principal author on multiple Internet privacy and security technology patents. He took Anonymizer to a very successful exit in 2008, stayed on as chief scientist of the acquiring company Ntrepid, and now advises startups through his platform at FeelTheBoot.com and as a Global Entrepreneur in Residence at Founder Institute. He frequently speaks at major conferences and writes for numerous publications. He holds a MS in Physics from the University of California, San Diego and a BS in Physics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
